Summary

Description
English: Insignia of the U.S. Navy attack transport USS Rockbridge (APA-228), adopted in 1964.
Official description: "The gold crest in the form of a trident is symbolic of sea power. The shield, shaped like a box of an LCVP, represents the APA's striking power. The red cross is the traditional symbol of the crusader, and also represents the ship's parent squadron's pennant. The ROCKBRIDGE's membership in the Navy-Marine Corps tram is indicated by the crossed swords of both services."
