English: The U.S. Navy repair ship USS Vulcan (AR-5) departing Norfolk Naval Station, Virginia (USA), for the Mediterranean on 22 June 1943. She is painted in Camouflage Measure 12. Note the tugs assisting her, and old four-piper destroyers and merchant ships anchored in the harbour. The photo was taken from the island of the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10).
