Description
English: A wall monument on the west wall of the south transept of Salisbury Cathedral to John Thomas, bishop of Salisbury from 1757 to 1761.
The translation reads:
"Near this place are deposited the remains of the late Father in Christ, John Thomas D. D. Successively bishop of St. Asaph, Lincoln and Salisbury, and Chancellor of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. He died 20th day of June 1766, aged 75."
