Whiteladies Priory was an Augustinian nunnery founded in the twelfth century. Following dissolution it was owned by a number of Roman Catholic families. King Charles II was hidden here during his flight after the battle of Worcester. Whiteladies and nearby Boscobel House are on the Monarch's way long distance footpath.
