"Eddie Castellan: The loco looks exceedingly like a Fletcher Jennings A class, similar to Talyllyn as built. Note the position of the Giffard injector. Talyllyn had the same set-up for many years on the fireman's side, despite it becoming hopelessly inaccessible after the cab was added. This picture is very useful is showing how it would have been fine for a cabless loco."

"Ian Drummond: Fletcher Jennings certainly supplied Plymouth locos Nos 10 and 11 works nos. 61 and 59 (yes that is the right way round) in 1865 and 1867 respectively, both Standard Gauge.
