Oh come on, India must get a higher rating on this!

It is a flawed map based on data trying to claim that rape is normalised in Western democracies... rather than the countries where rape is at least almost normalised for real. In reality the data is as the other comment said about reports and is useless as a metric on which to base the prevalence of "rape culture". The idea that the UK has a stronger rape culture than India and other countries in which there are communities that actually subjugate women, is absolutely ridiculous. In reality rape is widely seen as especially bad in Western democracies so it is reported more. The Mummy (talk) 11:13, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As the image texts says, these numbers are police reported, not actual. So country like Sweden with strong feminist values, have a high "rating". Rape is one of the most under reported crimes, with 68% still being left unreported. Notice also that the numbers are outdated, and draw conclusions.Storloff (talk) 05:07, 31 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
