The scale is...what? Darker = more expensive? Which currency - USD or Euro? Lighter = less expensive? Does it reflect the shocks of the past two weeks? More details, please... 66.114.176.253 (talk) 08:52, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The scale is linear, brighter is more expensive. Currency is irrelevant, something that costs £1 costs €1.25, something that costs £2 costs €2.50, but the ratio of £1:£2 == €1.25:€1.50 == 1:2. As the description page says, the data is from Gasoline_usage_and_pricing on 2008-05-21 — since that data isn't very consistant (some of it is a couple of years old, some is a day old) I didn't include a scale, the map is a rough guide.
I will make a better image soon. ƕ (talk) 10:46, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the explanation! And for the future if you are going to show a graphic without a legend, I've got a photo of my grandmother you can use instead. Great picture of a sweet little lady, and will convey as much about the topic to the reader as a graphic without a legend. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.105.35.137 (talk) 00:30, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
