There are multiple snapping turtles living in the waterways throughout Austin, Texas, currently outside the southern edge of the distribution according to this image. I don't know if they are endemic to just the city or the Colorado River, or the whole area between the current edge and Austin. Craig Pemberton (talk) 17:12, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
