Orphaned image
[edit]As stated in the file informaiton: It will be used in the sandbox of the uploader until the edited article is ready to me moved to the main article Cycling in Copenhagen Sertmann (talk) 17:21, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- The problem is that the image doesn't comply with Wikipedia policy:
- Stefan2 (talk) 20:42, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- It will of course be used in the main name space, and I will try my best to have the articles finished before September 11th, so it can be moved there before the image is deleted.
- Writing this up, it has turned that the section on the current bicycle policy is quite long, and it will probably be advantageous to separate this section into a an article of its own. Would it alleviate your concerns if I decide on that, and used Template:Non-free use rationale book cover instead?
- Coincidentally, i do not think its very welcoming not allowing users to develop articles outside the main name space, we all work differently. No bad blood here, I just don't feel like the rationales that I've given is being listed to, rather, than I'm given some automatic reaction, since I suspect, a lot of unfree crap is being uploaded on a daily basis. - I understand that it is problematic to write or alter articles outside the article namespace due to the image policy. If you want to change the policy, I think that WT:NFC is the right place to propose the change.
- The image might be appropriate in an article about the bicycle policy, depending on how the image is used. However, I'm not sure that the image would be appropriate unless the article specifically deals with the bicycle policy publication. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:54, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
