Some things wrong with picture[edit]
- These are not Gestapo insignia as presented, they are SS (Gestapo was a branch of the SS post-1940 or so, but before that it was not SS).
The eagle is facing the wrong direction.(my mistake)- The black swastika in the wreath in historically inaccurate: the swastikas were raised (embossed), but not painted with any colors.
- The insignia—perhaps due to the shadowing provided by the photo enhancer—look like they may have been photographed from the reverse side.
Can a better photo of these insignia be provided? Jim_Lockhart 01:34, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
