If ice big ice shelves fall they could cause disasters like tsunami's because of the impact of when it falls.

Is that a question or a statement? I'm not sure it's true either; it doesn't look like a great deal of the ice sheet breaks off at any one time, and they're partly underwater anyway. It'd probably make a big splash and be a bit bad for anyone nearby, but I don't think it's likely to make a tsunami in the way that a geological event could.

Ice shelves are already afloat. They do not fall and do not cause splashing. A calving event involving a small iceberg (taller than it is wide) will cause a splash if the iceberg rolls over but it will by no means be a tsunami. In a large calving event, the iceberg (much wider than it is tall) will be stable and merely float away from the ice shelf. 85.211.233.140 (talk) 17:37, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
