About square rooms[edit]

'Width of diagram is narrowed', 'actual bedrooms are square'. These statements cannot both be true. If one makes Knox's bedroom square, Kercher's becomes even more oblong. Rothorpe (talk) 01:11, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The term "square" is used in the general sense, rather than being exactly n-x-n pixels as in a perfect square. -Wikid77 07:55, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Which general sense? Square is a mathematical word with a precise meaning. --John (talk) 23:00, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why not use a scaled diagram[edit]

Why not just draw this closer to the right scale and remove the bullet points that describe why it's not to scale? — brighterorange (talk) 05:32, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If the concept diagram were changed to be a floor-plan map, then the exact wall dimensions and locations of all furniture would be subject to endless debate, as questioning the accuracy to scale. -Wikid77 07:55, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How so? Aren't the dimensions and positions much more debatable in the absence of accurate scale? The image would be more authoritative if it honoured the real-life proportions of the apartment. SuperMarioMan 01:46, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Source of diagram[edit]

I think we should add the sources for this graphical artwork, as well as we do with text.--Grifomaniacs (talk) 18:50, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have repeated, in the description, that the diagram is an original image. However, I have also explained possible references which confirm the general layout, and reveal how the walls and windows are not accurately positioned, as being a scaled copy of a floorplan. -Wikid77 07:55, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not questioning the license of the image, instead I'm requesting to add sources for its contents. This graphic is intended to provide informations to readers, so it is necessary to add (in the file description) the sources to verify that this image is an accurate depiction of the subject, or logical situation, represented. The best sources for this graphical artwork could be in fact text articles that describe the crime scene. --Grifomaniacs (talk) 13:00, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
