This picture was taken of me, in my own garden, by a photographer and friend, Christopher Greenleaf, who lives nearby, in Westerly, Rhode Island. Because it's a portrait of both me and one of my plants as grown by me, another picture isn't usable. Would you like Christopher Greenleaf to be in touch to confirm that I have the right to use his picture? Thanks for your guidance.
- If he is willing to release it under a free license, such as the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License, by following the steps outlined at WP:Donating copyrighted materials then we can use it, yes. That would be the best solution.
- If he's not willing to freely license the image then we have to treat the image as non-free and our policies concerning such images is very strict, particularly when it comes to living people where there is a presumption that someone could take a free(ly licensed) picture.
