Errors in county boundaries, etc.[edit]

Nearly all of Rockaway peninsula is part of Queens. Jones Beach is part of Nassau County. Staten Island (part of NYC) is not even shown. There is no reason to locate Forest Hills, Flatbush, Amityville, nor the Hamptons. Jamaica is the County Seat of Queens, Mineola/Garden City of Nassau, Riverhead of Suffolk. (Brooklyn does not use neighborhood names in addresses, so identifying its seat is problematic.) Bronx northern border seems a bit too far south. Website That Shows Accurate County Lines Drawn on Google Maps[edit]

This website shows any county in the US just by clicking on it. If you click anywhere on Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk it will show you a correctly drawn county map of Long Island. Perhaps this would be a good base for a map for the article? caz | speak 20:22, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
