Suggestion[edit]

This image is so large, it reliably breaks Chrome. I got it open with another browser and got to see that everything inside is placeholder text. Suggest you replace the image with a reasonably-sized image, without bothering with the placeholders. — Brianhe (talk) 23:40, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm unable to reliably remove the placeholders at the moment sadly because of software limitations. I think if people are having issues with zooming (which I know can depend on the person, browser and computer. I use chrome exclusively for example and have no issues but I know others have had one) then using the built in thumb nail versions (like this 719px version) probably makes the most sense. I don't want to remove the larger version completely because I know a lot of people have expressed a desire too and a appreciation of being able to zoom in and explore the connections. For now I think it's easier to use the built in "make smaller" options and keep the large version uploaded then to simply upload a smaller version and get rid of the large one. The down-res thumbnails work on Chrome, I think. However, Mediaviewer (which is turned on by default) gives you the high res version. In other words, Wikipedia crashes Chrome by default, when viewing this image. — Brianhe (talk) 04:07, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Its not showing up in Firefox on full size either, although that could be due to the OS or to the fact that I eagerly disabled media viewer some time back (best decision I made in 2015, if I do say so myself :) TomStar81 (Talk) 08:44, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
