Because the data on this chart is ordinal, it would be better served if it did NOT use a Rainbow color map. Humans do not intuitively perceive order in the rainbow spectrum. Furthermore, the spectrum is not perceptually linear. See "Rainbow Color Maps (Still) Considered Harmful" and "There is More to Color Scales than Meets the Eye: A Review on the Use of Color in Visualization".

Iceland[edit]

HI -has anyone noticed that Iceland is completely covered with snow on this map? It should be extremely red. Maybe it is wearing an invisibility cloak.. That's how red it should be, they can afford an actual invisibility cloak. Please, this should be fixed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MrGulli (talkcontribs) 21:32, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I wondered about this myself, especially since Iceland is there on earlier versions of this map. It was apparently removed on 21 August 2009 by CapitalElll. Maybe it's because of the 2008–2012 Icelandic financial crisis... but if so it should be coloured gray, not removed!--EsbenSloth (talk) 18:51, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just a bump for this. I'm sure the Icelandics are feeling dejected at being left out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.31.38.75 (talk) 20:14, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Republic of the Congo[edit]

- also on Republic of the Congo it is light green and this is the data GDP (PPP) 2009 estimate

- Total $15.570 billion
- Per capita $4,145

it is true that it is 2009 but I do not think from 2003 to 2009 they can drop that much. Colour should be blue —Preceding unsigned comment added by IONU (talkcontribs) 16:58, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
