This image is terrible, looking like a child's drawing. This is the best the editors can come up with for spaceflight? My god, just browse through the articles in the category, and crop one of them. -66.41.19.44 (talk) 19:14, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps the creators of the portal used this image just because it looks simple and naive. Space flight is a topic full of complicated and dry matter such as escape velocities, semimajor axes, data transmitting systems and nuclear propulsion devises. Perhaps a lot of people are in need for an icon that makes them smile.
