No idea why! :-)
Most of the exhibits in the museum are the kind of thing that are found in people's lofts and garages or forgotten in store rooms. It is from the period, for sure, but I cannot say why it hasn't rotted since. The museum is this one. --RA (talk) 15:51, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One thing has just crossed my mind while replying to your message on my talk on en.wiki. The photo does not do justice to the real thing, which looks very cool. Possibly, who ever made it (or who ever it was made for) took care of it simply because it looks so cool. If I was a kid still and someone made that for me, I'd probably try and keep it. --RA (talk) 15:55, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
