This map needs a legend. I understand that the yellow area is Volhynia -- probably today (is this right?), but what is the hatched yellow and blue region touching the yellow in the northwest quadrant? Could it be additional territory that was part of the Volhnyian governate prior to World War I, or is it something else? I wanted to contact the map creator, but couldn't find a way to do so. @FurnaldHall: Today's Volyn Oblast is much smaller in the west of the yellow part. The Volhynian Governorate of the Russian Empire was larger in the east but did not include the hatched part in the northwest. --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii 22:32, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

The Volhynian Governorate of USSR did not include anything from the yellow part. --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii 22:34, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
