Why is the fact that the US is present singled out in a commentary that many nations are present??!

Surely even those who inhabit the US -- or at te very least SOME OF them -- can comprehend that they are NOT more important than other nations? This is an English speaking -- NOT an US -- wikpedia portal. This way of presenting the facts is rather offensive.
