Grays Gate is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia.[3] In the 2021 census, Grays Gate had a population of 28 people.[1]

Geography

The locality is to the south of Millmerran.[2]

The land use is predominantly crop growing with some grazing on native vegetation.[2]

History

The locality is believed to be named after an early settler.[3]

Public telephone facilities became available in August 1924.[4]

Demographics

In the 2016 census, Grays Gate had a population of 38 people.[5]

In the 2021 census, Grays Gate had a population of 28 people.[1]

Education

There are no schools in Grays Gate. Millmerran State School in neighbouring Millmerran to the north provides primary schooling and secondary schooling to Year 10. For secondary schooling to Year 12, the nearest school is Pittsworth State High School in Pittsworth to the north-east.[6]
