Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Dr. Satish Chandra Dwivedi won in last Assembly election of 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Elections defeating Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Arshad Khursheed by a margin of 10,208 votes.[3][4]
