Karin Van Der Laag (born August 2, 1971) is a South African actress. She is best known for her role as Maggie Webster in the SABC 3 soap opera Isidingo.

Early life

Van Der Laag was born on August 2, 1971.[1] She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in drama and English from the University of Cape Town and later obtained a Performer's Diploma in Speech and Drama.[1]

Career

In 1998, she began playing the role of Maggie Webster in the soap opera Isidingo for which she is also the head casting director.[1] She continued in the part for twelve years. In 2011, she won a SAFTA Award for her work on the show.[1][2]

She has appeared in Les Deux Mondes and Hoodlum & Son,[1] She acted in The Story of an African Farm.[3][4]
