L'Anse-au-Loup (Town) is located along the north shore of the Strait of Belle Isle, in Newfoundland and Labrador province, Canada.[3]

The town had a population of 692 in the Canada 2021 Census, up from 558 in 2016.[1] In the Canada 2006 Census, there were 593 inhabitants. Common Surnames are Barney, Belben, Cabot, Earle, Linstead, Normore, O'Brien, Ryland.

The town is located along Route 510 in Labrador, between Forteau and L'Anse-au-Diable. The town was incorporated in 1975. The first mayor was Reginald O'Brien Sr.

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, L'Anse au Loup had a population of 692 residing in 302 of its 322 total private dwellings, a change of 24% from its 2016 population of 558. With a land area of 3.39 km2 (1.31 sq mi), it had a population density of 204.1/km2 (528.7/sq mi) in 2021.[2]
