The Madras Pioneer is a weekly paper published Wednesday in Madras, Oregon, United States.[2] It is published on Wednesdays.[3] It is the newspaper of record for Jefferson County.[4]

History

The Madras Pioneer was founded in 1904.[2] It was sold In 1948 to Bill Robinson and Elmo Smith, who went on to found Eagle Newspapers.[5] In January 2013, the paper was sold to the Pamplin Media Group along with five other papers owned by Eagle Newspapers.[6][7]
