Rabanne previously known as Paco Rabanne is a French luxury fashion house founded in 1966 by the Spanish-born naturalised-French fashion designer Paco Rabanne.

History

[edit]

In 1968 a licensing deal was signed for perfumes with Puig.[1]

Puig acquired the house in 1986.[2]

The houses couture line was discontinued in 1999.[3]

Patrick Robinson was appointed as the brands creative director in December 2004.[4]

In late 2016 a store opened at 12 Rue Cambon in Paris, France in a 60 m2 (650 sq ft) space.[5][6]

On 3 March 2020 a store was opened at 54 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré but it was closed by 2022.[7]

In November 2021 it was announced that the chain would open a 1,650 sq ft (153 m2) flagship store at 39 Avenue Montaigne, the space would replace a Nina Ricci store.[8] The store was opened in January 2022.[9]

Nadia Dhouib was appointed as the brands general manager in April 2022 after working for Galeries Lafayette.[10] In an interview with Vogue Arabia she stated that she wanted to help create a unified voice from the fashion to fragrance divisions and also broaden the brands audience.[11]

In 2023 the brand was rebranded from Paco Rabanne to Rabanne. Along with this Rabanne Makeup was launched and made available in Selfridges, Sephora and Ulta. They also created a collection with H&M.[12]
