OME Care (formerly Pathway Genomics) is a privately held global medical diagnostic and homecare company headquartered in San Diego, California. The company specializes in at-home genetic testing and uses artificial intelligence to provide insights for both consumers and physicians. OME Care’s testing services cover a range of conditions including obesity, cardiac health, inherited diseases, and drug responses.

OME Care operates a clinical laboratory that is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and meets the requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).

History

In 2014, Pathway Genomics, the company’s predecessor, announced a partnership with IBM Watson Group. This collaboration led to the development of a mobile application, named OME, which uses IBM Watson’s technology to offer users personalized health and wellness information based on their health history.

In January 2019, Pathway Genomics was acquired by OME Wellness, which subsequently rebranded the company as OME Care.
