As per Categories for discussion of April 26–May 3, 2007, a consensus was reached that to avoid category clutter on the article page, the Year/Date/Place missing/unknown categories should be repurposed to the discussion page. Three categories, however, deemed to denote the absence of "defining" data, Category:Year of birth missing (living people), Category:Year of birth missing and Category:Year of death missing were allowed to remain on the article page.
