The result of the move request was: Move to École Nationale Supérieure de Physique, Électronique et Matériaux, which removes the parenthetical but follows WP:MOSCAPS. Cúchullain t/c 20:03, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
École nationale supérieure de physique, électronique et matériaux (Phelma, Grenoble) → École nationale supérieure de physique, électronique et matériaux – Move back to the proper name per WP:MOS. No need for the parenthesis dab. Bob247 (talk) 19:44, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

- Oppose The title proposed by Bob247 is ridiculous because it does not give the location of the school. There are dozens of engineering schools about physics, electronics and materials ! The official name of the school does not say where it is and this school is not so famous ! (Phelma, Grenoble) is very important to disambiguate ! Euroflux (talk) 21:09, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Comment many schools and institutions are listed without place names in parenthesis, or within the name of the institution. Your logic is intrinsically flawed. The article should be at the name of the institution, not something unilaterally invented by the above user. --Bob247 (talk) 22:09, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Not sure - The description of Phelma as "Phlema est une école d'ingénieurs en physique, électronique, matériaux issue du regroupement de l'ENSPG, l'ENSERG et l'ENSEEG" suggests that there are others, but can't find them. So the geographical disambiguator isn't so needed, however, that said Grenoble Institute of Technology (= Grenoble INP) for the parent, Grenoble INP - Phelma for this school looks to be the common? name, not a tidy distinction. This sort of thing really needs checking in Google Scholar, but the change of name is so recent. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:29, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Support - on the basis that it is a huge improvement on the present absurd title which has grossly excessive disambiguation and is neither the common or proper name. However Phelma is in my view the common name and preferred title.Rangoon11 (talk) 14:49, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Unsure - It appears that the school in question is part of a new school called Phelma, aka a merger of the three schools. If we are keeping a separate article for the composing schools, than there is no need for the parenthetical disambiguation, as the schools name was/is unique, the location is not required, any more than in Ball State University. If we are going to merge the three article into one, as the schools have merged, than one article named Phelma, should be sufficient.--ZooFamily (talk) 01:14, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- There has been no talk of merging the other articles into this article. Perhaps keep this article at the original title and remove recent Phelma activity and create a new article entitled Phelma or similar? However, as is, we do not use abbreviations in parenthesis in titles, especially when they are not required. --Bob247 (talk) 16:49, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support a move to École Nationale Supérieure de Physique, Électronique et Matériaux. The nominator is right to want to remove the unnecessary disambiguation, but we should also be adhering to English capitalization conventions and MOS:CAPS on the English Wikipedia. Alternatively, I support Phelma as a WP:COMMONNAME. --BDD (talk) 17:41, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
