  • Countries should in general not be linked. Linking England, Spain and Germany in the lead can be okay, since they are vital to the article, but other countries links through the article constitute WP:OVERLINK: "Avoid linking the names of major geographic features and locations, religions, languages, and common professions." Alternatively, you could link to for instance "Football in Greece".
  • "However, a Barcelona..." doesn't make sense. You mean "a Barcelona goal..."?
  • "Fourth division" should either be "fourth division" (if a description) or "Fourth Division" (if a proper noun).
  • 'Gary McAllister' is linked three four times, while Vladimír Šmicer is linked twice in close succession, similarly 'Treble'.
  • In the second paragraph of the 'post match' there are two hyphens used for punctuation where there should be endashes. Close by, it is written "Alaves" not "Alavés". As the quote is from an oral source, you do not need to copy other people's spelling mistakes.
  • No need to force the image size of the stadium picture.

Well-written and engaging article; only some small issues, and the article will pass. Arsenikk (talk) 09:40, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
