We don't know the seeds yet. The seeds will be announced in the next 48 hours, but as they do not rely on the WTA rankings, or a formula like the men's seeds, there is no way of knowing them until this time. For all we know, Serena and Venus Williams could become the top 2 seeds. Until that time it is pointless to guess what the committee will do, since they always promote the williams sisters.

Quarter Finals vs Quarterfinals[edit]

The official Wimbledon site uses two words - "Quarter Finals" - see here, for instance. That's how it should be done on this page, surely? Absconded Northerner (talk) 15:07, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, then all other draw articles need to be changed as well. And what about other tennis tournaments; isn't it better to be consistent across different tournaments. If Wimbledon terminology is to be used throughout, then all Women's events should be changed to Ladies' events and Men's to Gentlemen's to keep up with the official naming. However no other tournaments use those names. I don't know. Any suggestions? Xerxes53 (talk) 15:45, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at the schedule of play, Quarterfinals is one word. So it seems both spellings occur. Xerxes53 (talk) 15:59, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I realised a lot of pages would need to be changed, which is why I came here first to get opinions on it before starting. Thank you for having the basic decency to respond - and for finding the counterexample that means we don't have to bother - instead of simply reverting without any explanation as Cjsfelipe and 92.151.237.59 (twice). I find that kind of editing rude. Absconded Northerner (talk) 17:44, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, no problem. Xerxes53 (talk) 18:30, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
