Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Tanvir Hassan Zoha be merged into 2016 Bangladesh Bank heist.

Zoha was created as a stand alone article prematurely, before it was clear whether he would be part of the enduring historial record. With the benefit of perspective afforded by the passage of time, his role in the event appears slight, suggesting that a redirect is appropriate, per WP:ONEEVENT.

Whether WP:BLP1E also applies hinges on whether Zoha is a low-profile individual or was seeking the attention he received, something we cannot know at this juncture. Press coverage evaporated, less than two weeks after it began, when he turned up without explaining the circumstances of his disappearance. Since then he has been mentioned only once, in this speculative piece on VOA.

Zoha is notable only in connection with the heist. Very little other information about him is available, not enough to build a full and balanced biography. So per WP:PSEUDO, Zoha should not be a stand alone article. I think Zoha can easily be explained in the context of the crime, and the heist article is of sufficient size that the merging of Zoha into it will not cause problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned.

If anyone objects to the merger on the grounds that Zoha's involvement was so slight or tangential as to be unworthy of mention in the heist article (where it is not currently mentioned at all), I could support deletion of Tanvir Hassan Zoha as an alternative. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:03, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Worldbruce: I don't think Zoha's bio page really has any relevant info to this article so I don't think it's worth merging. It's been nominated for deletion here: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Tanvir_Hassan_Zoha.

I think they should be merged for reasons. I'm against deletion as it may remove attribution. DispostableEE (talk) 00:41, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Alleged Chinese businessman[edit]

Who is this alleged Chinese businessman and why was he not questioned or arrested? This makes no sense. The linked source is a dead link. 185.68.78.163 (talk) 11:23, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
