Undiscussed page move[edit]

This moved the page from Anti-submarine mortar to Anti-submarine ballistic artillery. This is a bad move, obviously an undiscussed one despite being fairly major, and should be reverted. It has also led to awful edits like this.

COMMONNAME
Rockets, even unguided rockets, aren't ballistic projectiles. They're still under thrust during part of their flight, so this isn't a simple ballistic trajectory.
If this article needs a rename because the significant rocket projectiles are outside the scope of mortars, then we might do so. We might call them 'projectiles' or 'unguided projectiles' (Please, not Unrotated Projectiles!). But 'ballistic' is just wrong.

Irrelevant, the article should not have been moved without discussion, and that discussion should be had before it is moved. If there was content in the article that should not have been her it should have been moved. Slatersteven (talk) 09:18, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
