Moved and renamed

[edit]

I've moved this article back to "shore plover" as per WP:COMMONNAME: "the name most typically used in reliable sources is generally preferred". Although the IOC lists this species as "shore dotterel", it's endemic to New Zealand, and is always called "shore plover" there: by the Department of Conservation, in all standard field guides, by the Ornithological Society of NZ, and in the official checklist of NZ birds: see the article's references.
