More likely to be gay friendly

[edit]

I have moved the following sentence to the discussion page until there is a reference for it:

"In 2008 he publicly announced his homosexuality at a press conference following accusations and controversy sparked by a man claiming to have had relations with Cohen in the past."

I haven't found any online evidence for this claim, and as a gay man I am aware that a lot of gay friendly guys get labelled as gay for being associated with gay people. Of course there's nothing wrong with being gay, however since most societies load gay people with negative baggage, why carry the label if it doesn't apply.

I am also equally as aware that gay guys would be thrilled if someone as sexy as Ben Cohen and so high-profile in such a closeted sport as rugby was gay, so EVIDENCE needs to be provided.121.73.7.84 (talk) 14:54, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added this paragraph in place of the unreferenced claim of him outing himself:

Off field he is considered a gay-friendly icon. He has often spoken favourably of his gay following [18] and ousted David Beckham as Gay Times' sports personality of the year in 2008, and came second as their sexiest man of the year. [19] He has put his his photogenic appeal to use by releasing a calendar. [20]

There are plenty of married gay and bisexual guys with kids, but it seems more probable from what I have read about him that he is simply a well-adjusted guy who isn't hung up about being associated with gay people --- and any rumours that may breed. 121.73.7.84 (talk) 16:12, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Insert Image?

[edit]

How do I insert this image of Ben Cohen into the introductory Infobox? As far as I can find out this image is in the public domain 121.73.7.84 (talk) 01:36, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality dispute

[edit]

There is a neutrality dispute icon at the start of the 'representative career' section. Why? Wilmot1 (talk) 19:04, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have cleared up the section. I hope this ends this dispute. (RCJ) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.151.209.21 (talk) 01:30, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
