Why smallcaps in the URL

[edit]

While I can appreciate the official branding may dictate the name be set In small caps, I'd say it's impractical as part of the URL itself and arguably bad precedence. What next? Adding TM and R to the URLs? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.98.170.193 (talk) 20:49, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Long list of plugins

[edit]

Is there any reason at all to have this hugs list of plugins taking up 3/4 of the article? It seems silly, and not particularly useful. Instead, the article should describe more of Quicksilver's function. --jacobolus (t) 22:22, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agree--a shorter representative list should suffice. Maxiom 15:04, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Still seems too long. Perhaps the bullet lists should be removed entirely, in favor of just listing a few in the text? -- Steven Fisher 19:21, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

free software?

[edit]

What's the license for this thing? Is it really free software or gratis proprietary software? a thing 05:30, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See also

[edit]

I can't think of a single good reason for an extensive list of launcher programs to be attached to the See Also in this article. I think this should be changed to a category, of which this article is a member. -- Steven Fisher 20:30, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Quicksilverscreenshot.png

[edit]

Image:Quicksilverscreenshot.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Any Windows or Linux versions?

[edit]

If the source code is available, is anyone going to compile it into Windows or Linux versions? 78.147.28.172 (talk) 13:15, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am pretty sure it's not a question of merely compiling it for other operating systems, as this is pretty closely tied to the way things work on the Mac. Porting it may be possible, but most likely a very big job and requiring a major rewrite of large portions of the code, especially the display and IPC bits. Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Quicksilver (software). Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
