"Controversy"?

[edit]

Could somebody explain how there was a "controversy" about the de-la-rey-song, if only one side wanted to make it a controversy? Only narrow minded people can find it "controversial" --41.18.132.187 (talk) 08:56, 28 June 2009 (UTC) .[reply]

The blacks in South Africa sees it as a call to arms and a "racist" song about a famous boer leader but it is because they know nothing about the history. General De la Rey was a boer hero leading the boers against BRITISH forces. It has NOTHING at all to do about white against black. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.8.251.250 (talk) 13:45, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Discography page merged in main page

[edit]

This South African artist, clearly notable, but the discography page kept for a few years did not add up unfortunately to a conventional discography page in Wikipedia. I have now merged all discography material in the main artist page. The "controversy" section about De la Rey is equally and very oddly in the discography page and obviously is not a discography and needed to be moved. Now I think we have all the materials but concisely on the main page. In the future if any contributor wants to recreate a comprehensive discography page in the conventional manner, he or she is more than welcome. Incidentally we need to add the track list of his last two albums when available. werldwayd (talk) 01:56, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
