Theorem name

Is there a reason that the order of names is given as Bruck-Chowla-Ryser? Most books in design theory call this the Bruck-Ryser-Chowla theorem, presumably because the important case of projective planes was treated first by Bruck and Ryser, and only later was the theorem extended to all symmetric designs by Chowla and Ryser. I have never seen the ordering "Bruck–Chowla–Ryser" in any authoritative source. Currently Bruck–Ryser–Chowla theorem redirects to this page. It has a (very short) edit history.
