Separate "Album" entry??[edit]

This article has a separate article for the "album" because several tracks on the latter were not taken direct from the sound track itself. Might one suggest that this is VERY often the case - and that if we were to be consistent many (if not most) film sound track albums would be separate from primary article for the movie itself!!!!!

Lesbian Undertones[edit]

What "reliable sources" are you talking about? You just have to watch the movie and see for yourself... You don't need a "reliable source" to know if it's raining or sunny outside... I've seen this film several times, and just watched the handsome Blu-ray transfer. Calamity Jane is loaded with gay references, including gender confusion and cross-dressing. The "crypto-lesbian subtext" is as plain as the tail on a puppy. Whether these things were intentional is beside the point -- they're there. They're not the product of an overactive imagination. They're obvious precisely because such references don't appear in the overwhelming majority of films. If you want a reference, note the mention in the film The Celluloid Closet. Similarities to "Annie Get Your Gun"[edit]

Is there any way to reference the obvious similarities of "Calamity Jane" to "Annie Get Your Gun"? Both movies deal with historical women, characterizing them as rather boisterous and depicting their aptitude for handling firearms as a threat to their male counterparts.
