Schuylkill and Susquehanna Navigation Company founded in 1792

Missing Roman canal and some other problems

There was a canal between Rome and Portus in Roman times. Also, the Fossa Carolina is billed as the first artificial European canal but Roman canals were already built in Europe. What happened to Britain for canal age?

The British canal age is probably the most significant as it was part of the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. It looks as if all British info has been vandalized here. Yes, the title of this article is confusing. The article is almost entirely about the Canal age in the US.

North American canal age?

QuincyMorgan, the article was conceived to include the world: [1]. I therefore suggest that a new article North American Canal Age be created, using most of the current article, and leave Canal Age as a stub. Rwood128 (talk) 13:45, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
