Did Colin Maud actually bring his bulldog along to the beach? Or was that just Hollywood?

I'm trying to recall the conversation correctly, I think my father (Ruan Maud, Colin's son - now both deceased) said the story was true. I don't know much more about Colin other than through some photos. I'd like to know more if anyone has any further details. Sholto Maud (talk) 09:09, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Juno/Sword?

[edit]

At the moment, the article claims that Maud was beach master of Juno beach, but in the movie The longest day, and according to other sources (e.g. Martin Bowmans Gold Juno Sword: Volume 5) he was actually at Sword beach. IMO most things point at him being master of Sword, not Juno and the article should be rectified accordingly. If no one objects I will change this. Mulen (talk) 09:01, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
