Combat of RoßlauAffair at Rosslau – It wasn't really a battle, so "affair" may be a better word that has actually been used in relation to this encounter.[1] In this case there is no reason not to use the spelling of the day, which was, when latin letters were used, Rosslau.[2] Until the early 20th century the "ß" generally belonged to the gothic script.
