Salson or Shalshon - minor spelling diffs
[edit]"San Mateo: A Centennial History" uses the spelling "Salson" or "Shalshon" rather than "Shalshone" used in this article. Schmiteye 03:48, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
Title: Crystal Springs Watershed
[edit]I have never heard this called "Crystal Springs Park" since the area has mostly restricted access. It is usually called the "Crystal Springs Watershed". Schmiteye 03:55, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
I was unaware that this was in fact called Crystal Springs Park by San Mateo County, but indeed it appears to be so. Click here for the County's page on this park.
I would like to start a new article soon on the Crystal Springs Watershed, as differentiated from the park. This park article erroneously states that Crystal Springs Reservoir is the same as San Andreas Lake. In fact, the three bodies of water going from north to south are San Andreas Lake, Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir, and Upper Crystal Springs Reservoir (the last two are confusing, as "lower" is actually both north of and higher in elevation than "upper"). A couple pages that could be decent inspirations for the article: Page 1, page 2. --Mud4t 09:08, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds like a great idea. Let me know if you need help. Schmiteye 17:36, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- Would be great to see that entry on Crystal Springs Watershed. I agree this is all pretty confusing. Eperotao (talk) 22:50, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Reservoir caused the San Andreas Fault??
[edit]I think not! I am not sure what this means: "The San Andreas Fault runs right through the Crystal Springs Reservoir (and is actually the cause of the rift's formation). " But if it is meant to mean that the reservoir caused the San Andreas Fault, that is completely wrong. If it means something else, it should be clarified. I'm strongly tempted to delete that and probably will now. Eperotao (talk) 22:50, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
