Article tidy
[edit]The previous version of this article was pretty awful -- not much logical order, large chunks of text pasted from press releases, and lots of NPOV material. I've tried to tidy and reorder it without removing any information, but it still needs major work by someone more familiar with Campbell's career (there's no details of his 'rock' singles, for instance.) My apologies for not being signed in when I did the edit! Gusworld 00:22, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Gusworld. I tried to tidy this article up a bit, I added a little on The Swing Sessions, things I have heard him say at concerts I have been to or TV appearances I have seen. However, I have only reasonably recently discovered him so unfortunately I don't know that much about his Rock career! (Kjd pferd 00:33, 9 July 2007 (UTC))
Adding sources
[edit]I've spent quite a bit of time this week adding sources to this article, as there were very few before. I've also added a bit more information, and removed a very little that was not source-able. I still think it needs more on DC's role as Artistic Director of the Adelaide Cabret Festival, which has been a high-profile role in Australia this year, and also more on his recent recording success (Swing Sessions onwards), which is what he's mainly known for in Australia. I'll try to find time to do some more work on it soon, but if anyone else would like to add some more in those areas, I'd appreciate it! Brianwilsonisgod (talk) 08:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
David's paternity
[edit]is there any information available about David's mother? pga1965 (talk) 20:43, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
When you ask about David's mother are you asking about the woman who gave birth to him (she was young, about 16, very brief fling with Jimmy). Due to her age he was adopted by his maternal grandmother (Jean Campbell) and until he was about 14 David thought his real Mum was his sister until both his father and his mother were revealed to him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.9.73.2 (talk) 07:21, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
