ist fault. The 120 cavalry of a legion were no auxiliary cohort. And in the early republic the legions had up to 300 cavalry. The contubernium had no leading Rank. The Decurio as infantry rank vanished by the transformation to "manipular-Legion" and reduction of the decuria to contubernium.--WerWil 10:18, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
