Merge

[edit]

Although Eastwood was the name previously used, for the current election the constituency is now called East Renfrewshire (and its borders have been adjusted to fit) like the Westminster constituency (if anyone wants proof I think I have some candidate mailshots sitting around that I could scan). I think we should merge to the East Renfrewshire article but with a note that the constituency used to be called Eastwood. Cynical 15:51, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is not called "East Renfrewshire" according to the BBC and the Scottish Parliament:
What is your source for this?
By the way, it would be a rename, not a merge. --Mais oui! 18:19, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose the only pople who rename constituencies are the boundary commission who still call it Eastwood [2] and there has been no border changes as Eastwood has always had the same borders as the East Renfrewshire council area --Barryob Vigeur de dessus 23:40, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
