Article name

[edit]

I think the name should be "Palestinian National Authority" rather than "Palestinian Authority." Just my 2 cents. --Abnn 05:29, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sanctions terminated in 2007?

[edit]

It's probably correct to say international sanctions against the PA were terminated in 2007, but this article in Ynetnews [1] indicates that not all the tax revenues have been returned yet. It seems to me the continued withholding of tax revenues should be in an article somewhere. Sanguinalis (talk) 13:06, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Quartet enforcing blockade ?

[edit]

"Israel and the Quartet countries eased some of the sanctions on the West Bank, in order to support the Fatah government, while at the same time tightening the blockade of the Gaza Strip"

Is the quartet involved in this blockade ? the blockade page suggests only Israel and Egypt — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.55.103.190 (talk) 17:03, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. analysts

[edit]

"U.S. analysts believe that its strategy is to endure international pressure in order to strengthen its own charitable networks and weaken the resolve of foreign donors who may grow weary of prohibiting aid over the long term."
Now, explain what this nonsense means. Which analysts? Which strategy? --Qualitatis (talk) 15:32, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Palestine National Authority (PNA) versus Palestine Authority (PA)

[edit]

The abbreviation that is used when abbreviating the Palestine Authority, (PA), should be replaced to reflect the current government, which would be the Palestine National Authority, (PNA). TVanniel (talk) 20:42, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Quartet conditions

[edit]

article states " The Quartet ... issued a statement, saying that "It is the view of the Quartet that all members of a future Palestinian government must be committed to nonviolence, recognition of Israel, and acceptance of previous agreements and obligations, including the Roadmap,"" Do we know which part of the Road Map Hamas rejects ? Is there a link ? DO they reject Israel having a settlement freeze ? Israel itself rejected that key part of the Road Map within weeks http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/3020335.stm 82.11.163.59 (talk) 09:10, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
