Book citation

[edit]

Before I made a change to the page, I wanted to check in on an area of concern. Hebrides corrected some typographical aspects late yesterday. One of which was changing the format of titles in the sources from italicized to in quotation marks. Seems like Citing_sources#Books follows standard convention to put book titles in italics while quotation marks are reserved for parts of a book (i.e. a chapter, short story, or poem.) Is this not the case? Quine (talk) 14:09, 7 September 2016 (UTC) [reply]

Also, Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Text_formatting#Names_and_titles has it as italics. Quine (talk) 14:13, 7 September 2016 (UTC)--Quine (talk) 17:41, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In October Nikkimaria removed the citation links to the Find A Grave entry for Ruhl as non-RS. I've reviewed the consensus on this and agree it was correct. I'm unclear on given the status here if it should be listed as an external link per #6. Thoughts? --Quine (talk) 17:47, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
