Gdynia Sports Arena[edit]

Gdynia Sports Arena and Hala Olivia are NOT the same venues, FFS. Is it that hard to check this?--79.176.63.190 (talk) 04:37, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tie break rules[edit]

The first tie-break is head-to-head: the results of matches between the tied teams. The total points-difference is considered only if teams are still tied on head-to-head. See for example the ranking of ALBA Berlin and Joventut in Group C of the 2008-9 regular season.

Berlin dropped to 4-6 in the regular season and was forced to wait after its final whistle to watch Tau Ceramica beat DKV Joventut and secure Alba's berth in the next round. Joventut also finished 4-6 but Alba won both their games together and therefore the first tie-break between them.

Also see the standings of the bottom 3 teams in Group B, which were tied on 2-8. A game report from week 9 says this:

Zalgiris will advance with a victory if either Nancy or Prokom lose. Nancy will advance only if it wins while both Zalgiris and Prokom lose. If all three win or all three lose, Prokom advances by a three-point difference in games among the three.

Unless the rules were changed this season, head-to-head determines standings for any number of tied teams, not just two.--Nitsansh (talk) 18:12, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Finally, I found the list of tie-break rules here:[3]

1. Best record in head-to-head games between all tied teams.

2. Higher cumulative score difference in head-to-head games between all tied teams.
3. Higher cumulative score difference for the entire regular season.
4. Higher total of points scored for the entire regular season.
5. Higher sum of quotients of points in favor and points against of each match played.

Incorrect venue[edit]

According to the Euroleague website - the last two games of EWE Baskets were played at the Weser-Ems-Halle, not at the EWE Arena, as it is stated here. Check it here - http://www.euroleague.net/main/results/showgame?phasetypecode=RS&gamecode=95&groupid=342&seasoncode=E2009 - and here http://www.euroleague.net/main/results/showgame?phasetypecode=RS&gamecode=120&groupid=342&seasoncode=E2009 Can I change it or was there a reason why here it was put in different than at the official website? --Christomir (talk) 20:33, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
