[edit]

Thank you Ahoerstemeier for letting me change the name of the file to "FC Hansa Rostock" as is the offical name of the club. Although I must say I was kind of shocked when I had entered the entire sqad, etc. and suddenly all of it was gone....

Hansa Rostock´s new official anthem is "Hansa forever" since 2001 the songtext is in german

It is not. The official anthem is "Wir lieben dich total", however "Hansa Forever" has de facto been used as the anthem for quite a while now. Mainly because it is extremely popular among the supporters, not because it's been declared the official anthem, which is not the case. - Venomenon 12:30, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way: The official name does include those dots, so I removed the page. Xantener (talk) 18:14, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recent seasons

[edit]

I have removed the "Recent Seasons" section of this article because it gives undue weight to the club's modern history, contravening WP:RECENT. Note that football club articles that have reached featured article status (e.g. Arsenal F.C., IFK Göteborg) do not have these sections, as they would not pass the tests required to reach such a status. Hi, I understand what you meen. But "Recent Seasons" section is an important part of many german football clubs. So we have to remove all of them and delete alot of statistic?!? To create this needs alot of time and investigation. What do you think about transfer "Recent Seasons" to a seperate article like "F.C. Hansa Rostock statistics"? Have any of the German football club articles you mention reached WP:GA or WP:FA status? If not, they are not necessarily good examples to follow. WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS isn't an argument that could be used here. Splitting the information off into an article titled something like F.C. Hansa Rostock statistics would be acceptable, but would need to cover as much of the club's history as is feasible. Ilikeeatingwaffles (talk) 08:48, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

F.C. Hansa RostockFC Hansa Rostock – This is the only german football club article that uses periods in this way. it is unnecessary and inconsistent with other articles. I am requesting a move as it wouldn't let me do it myself. Microwave Anarchist (talk) 14:14, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Despite the club referring to themselves as "F.C. Hansa Rostock", it seems to me that secondary sources generally refer to them as FC Hansa Rostock or just Hansa Rostock or Hansa based on looking through old articles on kicker.de and ostsee-zeitung.de.
